ClipBG (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use our website and services (“Services”).

2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide, secure, and improve our Services:
- Account Data: email address, hashed password, and profile information you choose to provide (such as full name).
- Usage Data: images processed, credit usage records, and service activity logs needed for billing, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
- Payment Data: payment status, subscription status, and transaction/reference IDs. We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment details are handled directly by our payment processing partners.
- Technical & Security Data: IP address, device/browser information, and security/risk signals for fraud prevention, rate-limiting, and protecting accounts.
3. How We Use Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate ClipBG’s image editing services.
- Manage subscriptions, process payments, and generate receipts/invoices.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts against unauthorized access.
- Provide essential service communications (e.g., verification codes, security alerts, important service updates).
- Monitor, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
Data Non-Usage Commitment
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We never use your uploaded images for AI training, marketing, or public profiling without your explicit consent.
4. Data Sharing
We share personal data only when necessary to operate the Services, comply with law, or protect users and the platform. Categories of recipients may include:
- Payment Processing Partners (to securely process payments and subscriptions).
- Email & Messaging Providers (to deliver verification codes and essential service emails).
- Cloud & Infrastructure Providers (to host, store, and process data required to deliver the Services).
- Professional Advisors & Compliance (e.g., auditors, counsel) where needed.
- Law Enforcement / Regulators where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We require service providers to protect data and use it only to provide services to us, under appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
5. Third-Party Services
To run the Services, ClipBG may integrate with third-party services that provide functions such as payments, email delivery, analytics, cloud hosting, and security monitoring (“Third-Party Services”).
- Independent processing: Third-Party Services may process certain data (for example, payment details or email delivery metadata) under their own privacy practices.
- Minimum necessary: We only share the minimum data needed for the Third-Party Services to perform their function.
- No sale of your data by us: We do not provide your personal data to Third-Party Services for their own marketing purposes.
- Links: If our Services link to third-party websites, your use of those sites is governed by their policies, not this Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention & Security
Image Retention
- Images are stored temporarily for processing and delivery.
- Auto-Deletion: original and result images are automatically deleted during our system cleanup cycle that runs at least once every 24 hours.
- We do not keep permanent backups of user images as part of normal operations.
Account Security
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL).
- Passwords are stored only as hashes using industry-standard algorithms (e.g., bcrypt/argon2).
- Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, with monitoring and least-privilege controls.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data (“Right to be Forgotten”).
- Object to or restrict certain processing in some cases.
- Opt out of non-essential communications (we will still send essential service messages).
8. International Data Transfers
ClipBG is a global service. Your data may be processed on servers in different regions to provide performance and reliability. Where international transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws (such as contractual protections and security measures).
9. Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time. This action is irreversible.
